Gifted Tima’s ‘Rejected Diamonds’ advocates for ‘disability’ friendly policies

Gifted Tima, a Ghanaian spoken word artist and Youth Activist has released a new poem that celebrates Persons With the Disability (PWDs).

Rejected Diamonds by Gifted Tima, known in private life as Majeed Fatima was released on October 28th and discusses the challenges that PWDs face on a daily basis.

Tima believes that being visually or hearing impaired does not limit one’s ability to be creative to achieve one’s goals.

“Hearing impaired but I have a vision, hearing impaired but with a lot of creative. Sitting on a wheelchair but not motionless in achieving my dreams” portions of her poem reads.

Gifted Tima’s Rejected Diamonds encouraged governments and non-governmental organizations to enact deliberate policies that will address the challenges of PWDs.

She also rallied for an end to stigmatization of PWDs by the general public.
