Singer Reka J converts to Islam, Changes name from Rebecca to Nihad
Chop Da Mic’s star, Reka J dropped jaws of fans and reporters after she made a revelation that she has joined the Islamic faith.
The development came after some social media users shared the big news to the interception of our correspondent, our checks further discovered that the singer, actually made this revelation through her personal social media handle where she glorified God for ”leading her along the best and straightest paths to himself” she said
Reka J, real name Rebecca Sandow who now prefer to be called Nihad indicated that her decision was influenced by her deliberate pursuit and attentiveness for the religion over the years.
“God does not give us everything we want, but he does fulfill his promises, leading us along the best and straightest paths to himself. We never grow closer to God when we just live life. It takes deliberate pursuit and attentiveness.” she said, while she announces her conversion from the Christian faith to the Islamic faith.
“I’m therefore glad to announce to everyone, my conversion into the religion of peace; Islam. From now onwards, you should call me “Nihad” and I’ll indeed appreciate that” she announced while she shared some lovely pictures of herself holding the Quran.
